Rock Art

Ngai Tahu Development provide continued sponsorship for the Ngai Tahu Māori Rock Art Trust. The Trust was created to support Runaka in the identification, management and interpretation of their Rock Art heritage.

I’ve beenFilipe Tohi is a well-known sculptor of wood, stone and steel.
His current work explores the patterns and history of Pacific traditional cord lashings. Filipe Tohi lives and works in New Plymouth, New Zealand


 

 

Colleen e Waata Urlich

Born 18.11.39, Te Kopuru, Northern Wairoa, Tai Tokerau/Northland, Aotearoa / New Zealand.
Formative years: Oturei Marae Settlement and later the Oturei Block, bordering the Ripiro Beach and the Tasman Sea. Life with the extended whānau *, centred around Oturei Marae. Involvement with the Marae continues as an appointed Trustee and active committee member.
